about the
Rock Creek Fire District
The Rock Creek Rural Fire Protection District was established by local taxpayers in 1993. Today, the District provides fire protection and emergency services to approximately 212 square miles across eastern Twin Falls County and parts of northwestern Cassia County. Our service area includes the cities of Kimberly, Hansen, and Murtaugh. The District is governed by a board of three commissioners, each elected to serve a four-year term.
Volunteer Application
The Rock Creek Fire District is actively seeking volunteers to help serve our growing community. Over the past decade, the District has experienced rapid growth, with emergency call volume increasing by more than 270%. In 2011, the District responded to 568 calls; by 2023, that number had surged to over 1,500. The Rock Creek Fire District operates three stations, with Station 1 staffed 24 hours a day to ensure continuous coverage.
